About us
This website is run by Marrast Contracting, operated by 1000407795 Ontario Ltd., a licensed electrical contractor in Ontario (licence ECRA/ESA 7016430). "We" and "us" in these terms mean Marrast Contracting.
Information on this site
We work to keep this site accurate and up to date. Its pages are general information about electrical work and our services in Toronto and the GTA, not advice for your home or building. Every electrical job is different: what applies to yours is what we tell you after looking at it, and what's written in your quote.
Never attempt electrical work yourself based on anything on this site. In Ontario, electrical work should be done by a Licensed Electrical Contractor, with a permit from the Electrical Safety Authority where one is required.
Quotes and prices
We don't publish prices on this site. Your price is the one in your written quote, after we've seen the job in person or from your photos. A quote sets out what's included, what isn't, and when we can start, and it's valid for the time it states. Work begins only once you've accepted a written quote.
Offers and promotions
Offers shown on this site (for example, free whole-home surge protection with a panel upgrade) apply to new bookings made while the offer runs, for the work described in the offer. Unless an offer says otherwise, it can't be combined with other offers or exchanged for cash. The details that apply to your job are confirmed in your quote. We may change or end an offer at any time, but we'll honour one that's already in your accepted quote.
Forms and requests
Sending a form tells us you'd like to hear from us. It doesn't create a contract, and it doesn't book a time. We'll contact you to talk through the job, usually within 30 minutes during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm).
Please give accurate details. If you attach photos or documents, you confirm you're allowed to share them, and you agree that we may use them to assess and price the job. We won't post them anywhere without asking you first. See our privacy policy for how we handle what you send.
Emergencies
Don't use the website forms for an emergency. Call us at (647) 930-2907, 24/7. If there is smoke, fire, sparking or a burning smell, leave the building and call 911 first. If a power line is down, stay well back and call your local utility and 911.
Our work and warranty
Our work is covered by our 1-year workmanship warranty and by any manufacturer warranties on the equipment we install. The terms that apply to your job, including what the warranty covers, are the ones in your quote and invoice. Nothing on this website changes them.
Reviews on this site
The reviews on this site are real reviews from our customers, mostly copied from our Google Business Profile. We shorten some and correct obvious spelling, never the meaning, and show reviewers by first name and last initial. You can read them all in full on Google.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, such as Google, HomeStars, social media and the Electrical Safety Authority. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
Our content and trademarks
The text, drawings, photos and design of this site belong to Marrast Contracting unless we say otherwise, and may not be copied or reused without our written permission. You're welcome to share links to any page. Other companies' names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to describe the products and services we work with.
Our responsibility
We provide this website as it is, as general information. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for any loss that comes from relying on the information here instead of on advice about your own job, or from the site being unavailable for a time. This doesn't limit any rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act or our responsibility for work we carry out under a quote you've accepted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
